More Turf Racing: Our Horses

More Turf Racing currently has a number of thoroughbred horses in training at Michael Owen’s Manor House Stables in Cheshire, Ben Haslam’s Castle Hill Stables and Karl Burke's Spigot Lodge Stables both in Middleham, North Yorkshire and Archie Watson’s Saxon Gate Stables in Lambourne, Berkshire.

Horse welfare is foremost in everything we do. Our horses are expertly cared for by experienced and successful trainers at some of the best equipped stables in the country with unrivalled facilities from state of the art stables, horse walkers, all weather and grass gallops, to the very latest equine hydrotherapy treatment facilities, designed to build fitness and stamina, improve muscle tone and help aid recovery from an injury.

The horses receive first class training and excellent veterinary care in order to maintain their fitness, condition and well being at all times. Because no two horses are the same, our trainers and their staff ensure each horse receives the best individual care to ensure they achieve their full potential whilst being happy and healthy at all times.

After Racing

The well being of our horses is paramount to everything we do. After Racing it’s important that horses are given a new home and in some cases new career. At More Turf Racing we ensure that all our horses find the perfect environment in which to enjoy the rest of their lives, be it in well earned retirement or retraining. More Turf have had success with ex racehorses being retrained to compete in cross country eventing, dressage and show jumping competitions. Horses are beautiful, intelligent animals to be enjoyed throughout their lives and caring for them can give pleasure to many for years after they finish racing.
